Naftan’s Dreams tells the story of a mystical rebirth in the provincial city of Novopolotsk, home to the Naftan oil refinery. Through an ecological catastrophe, chemistry transforms into magic, and the spirits of the past and nature merge with a technogenic apocalypse. This album is a sonic ritual, and the city’s DNA is rewritten by forces both ancient and synthetic.

1. Intro
Rain noise intertwines with the wail of the Naftan refinery sirens. A sonic metaphor for the start of a “ritual” — the rain is not just destruction, but an awakening of the city’s hidden forces.

2. The Baptism
A procession track. The rain here is not water, but “liquid chemistry” seeping into the soil, walls, and souls.

3. After the Rain
The city in a trance: the collective breath of a traumatized earth.

4. Shadows of Khrushchevkas
Chemicals awaken Soviet-era ghosts — “shadows” of builders and residents entombed in concrete. They emerge as translucent silhouettes, fused with toxic vapors. Their goal: to find the “Concrete Temple” (the shaman) and reclaim life from chemistry.

5. Chemical Rainbow
Evaporations form a rainbow over the city. The rainbow becomes a bridge between soil and cosmos.

6. Concrete Temple
A shaman conducts a ritual in an abandoned Khrushchevka. He transmutes chemical residue into a “seed.”

7. In the River’s Reflection
The moon on the Dvina River becomes a portal. . Evaporations carry the city’s pain upward to the “Chemist’s Constellation.”

8. Chemist’s Constellation I
A tribute to Novopolotsk’s Ice Palace. Glacial synths and evoke a constellation left by ancient alchemists — a code where chemistry and magic are one.

9. Outro
Liberation: The “Chemist’s Constellation” flickers above — the city sleeps, but its DNA now pulses with alchemy.
