Transferring releases from one distributor to another requires a careful approach to preserve streaming statistics and presence on digital platforms. Follow our step-by-step guide:

1. Check Your Current Contract Terms

Carefully review the agreement with your previous distributor. Pay attention to termination conditions, notification periods, and release removal policies.

2. Prepare the Necessary Materials

Gather all metadata for your content:

• UPC code of the release
• ISRC codes for each track
• Original audio files in WAV format
• Cover artwork that meets technical requirements

3. Upload Your Release to Sundesire Media Worx

In your account dashboard on our platform, upload the audio files and enter all metadata, maintaining:

• Original track order
• Original cover artwork
• Original release dates

4. Wait for the Moderation Process

After uploading, your release undergoes moderation on our platform. If any questions arise, our team will contact you.

5. Remove the Release from Your Previous Distributor

Contact your current distributor and request removal of the release:

• Provide the UPC code of the release
• The removal date from the previous distributor should not be later than the publication date on our platform
• Optimally, resolve the release removal from the old platform first, then upload tracks through Sundesire Media Worx

6. Verify the Transfer's Accuracy

After publication, make sure that:

• The release is available on all platforms
• It's linked to the correct artist profile
• Streaming statistics are preserved

7. Inform Your Audience

Create a new smartlink with updated links to your release and share it on social media.
