Why is a release removed from Spotify still available?
This is due to Spotify's policy regarding removed releases.
Availability via direct link
Once deleted, your release will no longer appear in search results on Spotify, but it may still be available via a direct link. This means that if someone has saved a link to your release, they will be able to open its page.
Status of tracks in a deleted release
- unique tracks (which are only present in a deleted release) become unplayable and are displayed grayed out;
- tracks that are present in other active releases remain available for playback even through the deleted release page, but monetization and listening statistics for such tracks will be taken into account in the active releases, and not in the deleted one.
Change update time
Changes on Spotify are updated within 24 hours. If you submitted a takedown request today, the release may disappear from search only on the following day.
