Not payable streams report
The Not Payable Streams Report is designed to help you track streams that do not generate royalties and understand why. This tool is essential for identifying the status of your tracks and avoiding future mistakes.
It can be found, like other reports, on the Financial Statements and Sale Reports pages under the title "Not Payable Streams Report".
What Does the Report Include?
This report highlights streams for which Spotify does not pay royalties. Reasons include:
- Unqualified Streams. Streams of tracks that have not reached the minimum threshold of 1,000 plays in the last 12 months. Spotify excludes such tracks to ensure fair revenue distribution.
- Artificial Streams. Streams flagged as artificially generated, such as those created using bots or third-party services. These streams are removed from statistics and remain unpaid.
How to Prevent Unpaid Streams?
- Use Reliable Promotion Services. Avoid dubious platforms promising artificial play counts.
- Regularly Monitor Your Statistics. Analyze the report data to identify potential issues early.
- Focus on High-Quality Content. Tracks of better quality are more likely to attract listeners and meet the streaming threshold.
