Dates and prices
About this section
In this section, you need to set the desired release date and price for stores that support purchases. Please note: this refers only to the purchase price of the release. These prices do not affect streaming — streaming platforms set their own pricing, and you can’t change it.
Fields
Release date
Here you need to specify the release date. We recommend uploading releases at least one week before your desired publication date — ideally, two weeks in advance.
If you’re re-releasing material from a previous distributor (i.e., a back catalog release), you’ll need to select a past release date. When you choose a past date here, an additional field will appear — Live release date — where you’ll need to enter the future date when the release should go live again through us.
Original release date accuracy
If you're uploading a back catalog release, this field lets you indicate how precise your date is — whether you know only the year, the month and year, or the exact date. It’s recommended to specify the exact date. You can leave this field blank if you’re not distributing to Spotify — they are the only platform that requires this information.
Confirm release dates
This field will appear only if you selected Spotify in the Distribution section, and your chosen release date is less than 7 days from now. Spotify requires that releases be delivered to them at least 6 days in advance. Use this checkbox to confirm that the release may go live on Spotify later than in other stores. If you want the release to go live simultaneously across all platforms, please choose a later release date.
Release time
This field will appear only if you selected Spotify in the Distribution section. Here, you can choose the exact time when the release will go live on Spotify. You can’t set the release time for other shops.
Release time timezone
This field will appear only if you selected Spotify in the Distribution section. Here, you need to clarify the time zone for the release time you selected above. By default, it’s set to “Local listener time”, which means that the release will go live at 12:00 PM in each listener’s local time zone, wherever they are.
Album exclusive shop
You can choose an exclusive period for your release. After this period ends (usually 2–3 weeks), the release will automatically become available on the rest of the selected shops.
Album price tier on iTunes
Here you can set the desired purchase price of the full release on iTunes.
iTunes track price tier
Here you can set the default purchase price for individual tracks on iTunes. This value will apply to all tracks in the release, unless you’ve specified a different price for specific tracks in the “Tracks” section. In that case, the individual track settings will override this value.
Secondary shops price tier
This applies to all stores that support content purchases, excluding iTunes.
Russian shops price tier
This applies to all stores that support content purchases, excluding iTunes and other non-Russian stores.
Available for Apple Music
This option enables streaming of your release on Apple Music. If unchecked, users will only be able to buy your release on iTunes — it won’t be available for streaming on Apple Music.
Apple Music start date
This lets you delay the streaming availability of your release on Apple Music. Until that date, users will only be able to purchase it via iTunes.
Preview on iTunes during preorder
If enabled, this allows users who pre-ordered your release on iTunes to listen to a 30-second preview before the official release date.
Allow previews before release date
If enabled, Apple Music users will be able to listen to a 30-second preview before the release goes live.
Include in VK Stories and Clips
This option sends your release to supported VK services. It allows creators to use your music in their stories and videos.
