New Spotify Reports in Sundesire Media Worx Dashboard
We are pleased to announce two new reports in your Sundesire Media Worx dashboard. These reports comply with Spotify's updated rules and provide detailed insights into your tracks' statuses and payments. Learn more below.
1. Not Payable Streams Report
This report includes streams for which royalties are not paid. Key reasons:
Unqualified Streams
Tracks with fewer than 1,000 plays over the past 12 months. Spotify excludes such tracks from royalty calculations to ensure fair revenue distribution.Artificial Streams
Streams flagged as artificially generated, such as through third-party services or bots. These streams are removed from statistics and remain unpaid.
2. Fines Report
This report provides details on fines for tracks found to have artificially inflated play counts:
Fines for Artificial Streams
For a significant number of artificial streams, Spotify imposes a fine of €10. Such fines can have a substantial impact on your balance. The report is generated for the previous month. For example, the October report includes fines for tracks flagged for artificial stream inflation in September.
Retroactive Application
The fines system has been effective since Q2 2024, covering violations from that period, potentially leading to a negative balance.
3. Changes to the Sales Summary Report
Previously, "Unqualified for Spotify" lines were displayed in the main sales report. Now, they are exclusively moved to the Unpaid Streams Report. Check this new report if such lines are missing from your main report.
