Why are some stores unavailable?
When editing a release in the Distribution section, you may notice that some stores appear translucent and are not selectable. When you hover over a store name, you can get a brief description of why it is unavailable. Below we explain what you need to do to be able to deliver to these stores.
Beatport
Initially, this store does not appear in the list of possible stores to choose from. To make it appear there, you need to submit a request to add the label to Beatport. In this article, we explain how to do this. Please note that you need to submit a separate request for each individual label on your account.
If Beatport approves your application, it may still sometimes be unavailable for selection, but for a different reason: this store only works with electronic dance music, so if you create a release in the Hip-Hop or Blues genres, for example, you will not be able to select it.
Juno
Shipping to this store is only possible if your release is completely in English, including its title, track titles, artist name and vocals on the tracks.
Lyricsfind
Delivery to this service is possible only if for each track in your release the lyrics are uploaded in plain text or TTML format. To add lyrics, open the release in edit mode, go to the "Tracks" section, double-click the left mouse button on the track, in the window that appears, open the "Lyrics" tab. There you can insert the lyrics, upload a ready-made TTML file or use our TTML editor.
Facebook (Instagram), SoundCloud, ...
...and a few more stores: Kuack Media, Muska, Nightlife Music, TIM Music, Music in 'Ayoba', ClicknClear, Peloton, Trebel Music. To be able to choose these services, you need to follow a few steps.
Instruction
- When selecting stores, check the box next to Spotify (regardless of whether you want to deliver to it or not).
- Go to the release editing section "Artist Pages"..
- Provide Spotify ID for all release participants.
- Return to the "Distribution" section of the release editing. Now you can select previously unavailable stores. If necessary, you can uncheck Spotify if you do not want to deliver the release to this store.
Other Shops
Initially, all other stores are available to you. However, some of them, such as iMixies and Juno, may refuse your content for some reason, as a result of which they will be unavailable for selection, and when you hover over them, you will see the message "This store is not available for this Label".
They make these decisions themselves, and we cannot influence this.
