Transferring Releases Between Accounts
Is it possible to transfer a release from one account to another?
Your dashboard offers a feature for transferring releases between accounts — either individually or in bulk, including entire catalogs.
How to transfer a release by yourself?
You can do it on your own in your dashboard, without contacting support.
To transfer a single release:
- Log into the account to which you want to transfer the release.
- Create a new release.
- Enter the EAN (UPC) that was previously used in another account.
- The system will detect the duplicate and offer a transfer form.
- Enter the exact same release title and Catalog Number as in the original account.
The release must also be permitted for transfer. This can be done in the following ways:
- It has been deleted (deactivated) in the original account,
- The original account holder has allowed label-level transfer (done via the label editing form),
- Or the original account holder has individually allowed transfer for the release (visible in the status field when viewing or editing the release — marked as "transfer allowed" or "transfer forbidden", with a link to update the status).
If everything matches, the release will be:
- automatically copied to your current account,
- retaining all links and artist profiles,
- and the old version will be deactivated (status: moved).
How to transfer multiple releases or a full catalog?
Batch transfers are performed by our managers only.
To request it:
- Send a list of EANs (as a single-column text file) to our team.
- Indicate which label name the releases should be transferred to.
We will contact the current account owner for confirmation. If both accounts are owned by you, this confirmation is not required.
The same transfer permission rules apply:
- label-level permission,
- individual release permission,
- or deactivated release.
Releases will be moved along with all links, profiles, and statuses. Original versions will be deactivated.
What happens to statistics?
To avoid data loss, statistics are divided as follows:
- Trends (DSP Trends):
Before the transfer date — remain in the original account.
From the transfer date — will be shown in the new account. - Sales:
Up to the last day of the month before the transfer — in the original account.
From the transfer month onward — in the new account.
Example: if the transfer is made on October 12, then:
- sales until September 30 — stay in the old account,
- starting October 1 — appear in the new account.
Important transfer conditions
- EAN and Catalog Number must match exactly.
- You must either own both accounts or the previous account owner must confirm the transfer.
- Transferred releases are not deleted — they are marked as moved.
