Release overview links for social networks

What Is It

Release overview page is a publicly accessible page with information about your release, which is automatically generated by our system when it is published in stores and which we recommend you share with your followers on social media.

Why Share Them

By opening your release overview page, your fan or potential listener can then open the release on their preferred music service. They will also be able to listen to a 15-second sample of each track on the page.

How To Get It

There are two similar release preview pages - a regular preview and an overview.

The link to your release preview is always available to you in the "My Albums" table on the right side of it, in the form of a green icon with a black triangle. The preview is very similar to the overview, but it contains more technical information about your release, and the link to this preview is always available only to you. If someone tries to open this link without logging into your account, they will only see an error page.

The overview link is not available to you initially. To make it available, you need to check two different boxes:

  1. On the My Labels page, find the label that contains the release you want in the table and click on it. In the label editing page that opens, select the "Enable Label Overview Page" option, then click the "Update label" button. This will allow the public page for this label, as well as the public pages for releases released on it. However, you will also need to confirm the permission within each release.
  2. When editing a release for which you want to allow a public link, in the first section ("Main Information"), check the box at the very bottom - "Album preview page allowed". This will allow the overview page for this specific release. This way, you can allow or disallow the public page for each individual release.

After that, on the My Albums page, you will see that the green icon mentioned earlier has changed - a small "+" sign has appeared on it at the bottom right. Now, when you hover over this icon, you will be able to choose which page you want to open: one accessible only to you (preview) or one publicly accessible (overview).
